Sunday Sermons

Couldn't make it to Sunday service? Want a second helping? Enjoy this week's message.

10-08-2020 | Rev. Randy Becker | Stay the course

Dear Church Family and Friends,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Below you will see the mini-service and sermon by Dr. Randy Becker. He is amazing in so many ways and I marvel at his technological abilities. I had to send this out early due to the possible timing of the storm. May God bless you and may you be inspired by our service!

Gathering Hymn — Once to Every Man and Nation (Words are in the video)

Call to Worship
Enter this hour of worship
Prepare for a time of humility and devotion.
Seek the presence of the eternal in the midst of the temporal.
Come to know what abides even as time sweeps all else away.
Contemplate the challenges and mysteries of faith.
Be ready and open for both old truths and new insights.
Commit our spirits to the cause of greater understanding.
Recognize the gifts of the divine that are the measure of our lives.
Raise up words and songs, and thoughts of praise.
Make them sentinels by which our deeds are beckoned and measured.
Know that we are intended for more than we have known.
Sense the potential in each of us to be agents of holy change.
Remember that this hour is but a prelude to the real and faithful work in the world.
Hold us to the prayerful promises made here but lived elsewhere and evermore.
UNISON: May we feel and answer the call to affirm and embody our loftiest and deepest faith not only here and now, but also in all our ways and all our days. AMEN
