Last Saturday, Jaye J. and I received a call from one of our church family members who had two tickets to see the Blue Angels Air Show and so we went and parked in the farthest spaces as we arrived right before the show began. It was amazing! The maneuvers were breath taking and awesome. We are so blessed to have a talented and capable military presence here in Key West and around the country and world. The parking spaces turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we had access to another route to US 1 and were on it in two minutes.

This Sunday is communion Sunday, a time to remember what Jesus Christ did for us when he went to the cross. There will be no Sunday School as I am preaching at Venture Out for the last time this season. I often preach to over 200 people each time and several have been coming here to Peace Covenant. We continue our sermon series on David, a Man of Passion and Destiny and Sunday we see David being chased out of his own palace and his own city by his own son, Absalom. But we will discover the incredible value of loyalty as people come out of nowhere to assist David. You won’t believe the names of these characters!

This Sunday we will have our Session meeting after worship to receive one new adult member and hear the Statements of Faith from our seven Confirmation Students. It is an exciting time for Peace Covenant. One of those students will be baptized on Easter as well. I thank God for bringing us these students and adult to enrich our church for the future!

A big Thank You to all of you who either matched, exceeded or sent extra money in to Peace Covenant the past two weeks. I believe the $600 challenge has yielded over $10,000 in checks and new pledges for 2019!

We have had so many people listen to our sermons since we started videotaping them and we will continue to update and fine tune this great ministry to all our church family and those seeking to hear the message of hope through Jesus Christ our Lord.
