Pastor Daniel’s Weekly Newsletter | March 29, 2019
Happy Friday everyone,
It is a glorious day here in Key West and the jets have been whizzing by the church getting ready for the Blue Angels Air Show this weekend!
Maintenance Monday
A big thank you to all those who helped on Maintenance Monday. You will notice a super clean sign out front, fresh flowers at the Manse, new mulch as you stroll toward the sanctuary and polished wood and organization as you enter the front doors!
Stephanie Kaple, Executive Director of FKOC has reminded me that during the month of April, FKOC will be the recipient of Winn-Dixie’s Community Grocery Bag Program. Starting April 1st, when anyone purchases a reusable grocery bag at the Key West Winn-Dixie (2778 Roosevelt Blvd) they will donate $1.00 to FKOC.
One Great Hour of Sharing
During April our Mission Committee encourages you to support One Great Hour of Sharing which goes to help communities right here in the Keys with disaster relief money and disasters all around the world.
Confirmation Class
Last Wednesday, I met with our seven confirmation students and we worked on their statements of faith and they are working hard. They will meet with our Session on April 7 to be approved as members and then on April 21, Easter Sunday they will be officially confirmed!
Adult Sunday School
This Sunday, our Sunday School will meet at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall to take a deeper look into Philippians chapter 2. Paul is encouraging the Philippian church to be of one accord, having the same love and of one mind. When a team or company or organization comes together as one, great things can happen. Just watch March Madness for a great example!
Sunday Worship
During worship, we continue our sermon series on David, a Man of Passion and Destiny. We will look at David as a parent who failed at being a good parent and paid a huge price within his own family. His beloved son, Absalom rises up against him. We will look at what it means to “Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it.”
Online videos and donations
Our sermons are online for you to view anytime and we have a pay button for those who wish to pledge or give online. Here is the link to our website for last Sunday’s sermon:
Simply click this button to make your online donation to Peace Covenant. You donation is tax deductible and we accept PayPal and all major credit cards. Simple. Helpful. Important!
We hope you have a fantastic weekend and please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
