Pastor’s weekly newsletter | 01-08-2021

Dear Church Family and Friends,

We hope and pray that you are safe and well. I am happy to report that several church members have been vaccinated!

This week, we restart our Sunday morning services at 11 a.m. in the Parking Lot/Courtyard Area. I will set some cones out to keep an area open for the speakers to reach the entire parking lot. I will send the service information to you on Saturday so you can use your phone to follow along. You can stay in your vehicle, bring chairs, or sit in one of our chairs set up in advance. I will also have some bulletins printed in advance with just the necessary information. We will also have offering plates set up on a table for anyone wishing to place an offering in the plate. We are excited to begin live services once again. We will continue to tape all services and send it on Sunday afternoons.

This Sunday I will be starting a brand new sermon series on the Parables of Jesus. This Sunday, we take a look at one of the most interesting parables where Jesus asks a very penetrating question. “What does it profit a person if they gain the whole world yet lose their own soul.” The parables of Jesus are often complicated to understand but we will look at them in the lens of the middle east culture which will shed an amazing light into each parable.

Please keep in your prayers Barry Gibson, Beth Childress and one other person in our church as well as all the families dealing with Covid-19 and the loss of their loved ones.

I look forward to seeing many of you this Sunday at 11 a.m.

Blessings,

Pastor Daniel
