Dear Church Family and Friends,

We continue to pray that you are all safe and well on this Friday morning.

Last Sunday, we had technical difficulties with our podium as we could not get the microphone to work at all. Doug Brown and Bill Miller took an in depth look at it and contacted the tech at the company and they made the determination it needed to be replaced. The company will replace it for free, but it will take a few weeks to get it back. However, our friends at Venture Out have offered us a portable system to use during this time and I will pick that up today. Plus, I purchased a 35-watt megaphone for $110 to have as a third backup just in case we need it. They don’t teach you these things in seminary, but we are now ready to go this Sunday!

We continue our sermon series on the Parables of Jesus and this Sunday, we take a close look at the Parable of the Vineyard Workers. A landowner needs more workers for the harvest and he goes into town at 9, noon, 3 and 5 to get workers for the harvest. He agrees to pay them a denarius and they all agree with the wage but at the end of the day when the ones who had worked all day received the same as those who had worked one hour, they started to complain and grumble. This sermon is all about the incredible grace of God.

Please keep in your prayers, Barry Gibson, Beth Childress and Diana Jones as they continue to fight the good fight against cancer. May God be with them and give them peace today.

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend,

Pastor Daniel
