Dear Church Family and Friends,
It is officially spring break here in Key West. The Key West Co-op is officially off until March 29 and there are about 2.5 million people here (at least it feels that way).
Yesterday, I had my three-month checkup with the cardiologist, and he said that all systems are looking fantastic. He said that my heart has almost healed itself completely and I thank God for allowing me the opportunity to continue using the gifts God has blessed me with here in Key West, Venture Out and beyond. I am back to running a mile or two on the beach so if you want to join me, I’d be happy to run with you!
This Sunday I continue my brief sermon series on the book of James 3:13-18. James reminds us of the danger of being envious, jealous, or comparing ourselves to others. We live in an envious society and we often compare ourselves to those around us. We compare how we look, how much we have and what others possess. James tells us there is a better way to live than being envious of other people.
Please keep in your prayers, Barry Gibson, Beth Childress, Diana Jones and others who are facing the challenges of cancer as well as those who are looking for a job, peace, health, and happiness.
Have a safe and blessed weekend,
