Dear Church Family and Friends,

We hope you are safe and well on this first Friday in April.

The Celebration of Life Service for church member Barry Gibson will be held tomorrow evening at 6 p.m. at the Higgs Beach Pavilion behind Salute. Please consider coming to remember the precious life of Barry who was a part of the fabric of Key West and the Florida Keys for nearly four decades. Barry was a faithful church member, loving husband and father, civic leader, business owner, and city commissioner. We are blessed and thankful that Barry passed our way and left a mark in our hearts.

This Sunday is Holy Communion, and I will be preaching on another one of the 7 Deadly Sins, wrath/anger. Have you noticed since the pandemic that many people are on the edge and can explode at any moment? Anger issues lead to violence, relationship problems, and a plethora of crime. How can we control our anger? What can we do to stay calm in a tense situation? Our Scripture lesson comes from the book of Romans 12:9-21 where Paul reminds us not to act out in anger but in love.

During Holy Week, we will hold a Maunday Thursday Service at 7 p.m. with Holy Communion and a Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. and Easter Worship at 11 a.m. Please take a moment to invite a friend to join us.
