Dear Church Family and Friends,

“Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

We are not able to see the future and what will happen today or tomorrow or next month. We are called to be people of faith who put their complete trust in God knowing that God knows the future and we are sure of our hope in a God who loves us beyond reason!

As you are aware, the Key West Co-op School had to cancel all of their classes at our campus for the balance of the school year. Next Saturday, they will hold a celebration with social distancing in our courtyard to celebrate the children and their accomplishments. It has been a challenging year for our children and youth as they are not able to be in classes or prom or Sunday School or church and for seniors who always look forward to the LAST day in school! May God bless them all.

My sermon this week will focus on Romans 12, verses 1 and 2 where Paul reminds us not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds and hearts. What a fabulous reminder for all of us who have been given a gift of time to renew our faith in God. John Penkoske will be playing a wonderful prelude.

Please keep in your prayers this week Gerald Walters; Sue reports that he has been walking with his walker all over the house. Also keep praying for Barry Gibson and Beth Childress as they continue their treatments and for Ed Cunningham who is still in Miami waiting for one more day of being free from bacteria. Once he comes home he will be receiving 6-8 weeks of intravenous antibiotics. Pray also for Michael Werner and all those in our country who have lost loved ones through this virus or who are recovering at this time.

May God continue to bring you great patience, hope and joy as we wait for a return back to “normal” life!
