Dear Church Family and Friends,

We hope you are safe and well on this cloudy day here in Key West.

This Sunday I will be preaching about the call of God to some of the first disciples, Peter, Andrew, James and John. After hearing the call from Jesus, they left everything and followed Jesus. Have you heard the call of Christ in your life? Have you had an encounter with God that changed your life? How do hear the call to help bring people to church and make a difference in the world?

On June 5, our worship service will shift back to 10 a.m. through Labor Day.

Also, on June 5th, our Session will meet in person for the first time in 28 months! Before the pandemic, I had a class of five confirmation students who had completed the process and their statements of faith. Two of them, Anna and Eden McKenzie will be coming to our Session meeting to be approved for confirmation. One has moved away and the other two will meet with the Session in August or September.

Please keep in your prayers this morning, Marilyn Vanderveen, Ann Reynold in her rehab from her knee surgery, Beth Childress, the Flight family, the people of Ukraine and the families in Buffalo.

On Wednesday, May 25 from 4-6 p.m. Alex Counts will be doing a book signing at Key West Island Books. Alex attends our church several times a year and supports Peace Covenant as well. His new book is called, When In Doubt Ask For More. It contains lessons for church leadership and non-profits on how to navigate the challenges life throws our way and make an organization succeed. Alex will be in church this Sunday as well.

Have a blessed and wonderful weekend,

Pastor Daniel
