Dear Church Family and Friends,
I want to wish you a safe and wonderful Labor Day Weekend. It feels quite a bit different this year with social distancing and many people avoiding restaurants. I am sure we will see families out on picnics at the beach spending time together. As we pause to remember Labor Day, let us also be in prayer for those who are out of work looking for a job.

Our Session met last Sunday, and we discussed the possibility of meeting in the courtyard in November for Sunday services. We may need to meet earlier in the day to be comfortable. No decision has been made and we will continue talking about this issue each month.

I also want you to see an incredible video of a guest speaker at the last Presbytery Meeting. Her name is Lisa Allgood, a Transitional Executive Presbyter in Cincinnati. Most importantly, she is an Immunologist Cyto Chemist. She has run many clinical studies and worked with the FDA on five continents. She has worked on the rhinovirus and HIV in the past employed by major Pharmaceutical Companies. She has amazing insight into this virus and vaccines. Please take a moment to hear her presentation. It is well worth your time!

This week, the Key West Coop begins on Tuesday. Children will not be wearing masks, but the parents will be dropping off their children in the back area near the manse.

Our Office Manager/Secretary, Kylie will be in the office next week from 9-12.

This Sunday, I continue my sermon series on the life and book of Nehemiah. This week we take a close look at leadership. What are the attributes of great leaders? How did Nehemiah convince people he never met to do something no one thought was possible? How can we be better leaders today? Nehemiah chapter 3. We will also partake of Holy Communion.

I hope and pray that God continues to bless you during this time. It is a time of learning and growth for all of us.

Blessings,

Pastor Daniel
