Pastor’s weekly newsletter | 10-23-2020

Dear Church Family and Friends,

As we enter the final week of October, we come to realize that many things have changed dramatically in our everyday lives. We used to think about Trick or Treating but many families are passing this year on the annual event. We continue to pray for a vaccine to enable the country and the world to return to a normal way of life.

This Sunday I will be preaching on one of my favorite passages in the Bible. It is about a paralyzed man who is carried by his friends to see Jesus. His friends want him to be healed but they can’t get in the house as it is packed with people. They go up to the roof and lower the man through the ceiling down to Jesus. What an amazing story! We will discover something we rarely see in all the scriptures in this passage. I’m sure Jesus himself was shocked at what he witnessed.

We are still on track for outdoor services to begin on Sunday, November 29 at 11 a.m. We will require masks to be worn, no singing but John will bring his keyboard to play outside. We are looking forward to seeing you.

We will be entering the Stewardship Season in the next few weeks and I will be preaching on ways God calls us to give and support the work of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please know that our outreach has tripled in the last two years in terms of our emailing sermons. Many people are being touched in ways I never saw possible. It all happens through the passing of the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Please keep in your prayers, Beth Childress and Barry Gibson as they continue with their treatments. We pray that God will bless them this day and give them peace.

Have a blessed weekend,

Pastor Daniel
