Pastor’s weekly newsletter | 11-11-2022
Dear Church Family and Friends,
We hope you are safe and well on this Veterans Day and I want to take a moment to thank all our veterans for their great service to protecting our country, the United States of America and serving across the globe. May God bless you!
I know you will join with me in expressing our sympathy and our gratitude and prayers to the Marilyn Vanderveen family. Marilyn passed into eternity yesterday. She was a great warrior of the faith and a strong woman of courage. We thank God for sending Marilyn our way to be a blessing to Peace Covenant.
This Sunday we will be celebrating Holy Communion together giving thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for giving his life for us. I will be preaching on one of Jesus’ greatest miracles, the Feeding of the 5000. There are several interesting miracles in this passage including the miracle of the young boy’s lunch, the disciples passing out the food, the people enjoying a wonderful meal together and the power of Christ in the moment.
There will be a brief congregational meeting for the purpose of dissolving the relationship between the pastor and the congregation effective December 15. The congregational meeting will take place at the end of the worship service on November 27.
Please keep in your prayers this morning, Beth Childress, Naomi Fritz, Marilyn Vanderveen’s family, our Veterans, Trinity Presbyterian and all those affected by Hurricane Nicole.
Have a blessed weekend,
