Pastor’s weekly newsletter | 12-04-2020

Dear Church Family and Friends,

We pray that you are all safe and well today and we continue to pray for the well-being of all Americans and all the people around the world with the mass spread of the coronavirus.

The Venture Out Services continue at 9 a.m. each Sunday and we had some of our church members in attendance last week and it was wonderful to see them. There have been no reported cases via the church service and you can sit away from others as far as you want. They have switched the speakers so that it encompasses a much larger area, and it is outside next to the waterfront. I do believe you can also stay in your car and hear the service.

Thank you to all of you who have purchased gifts for our needy families here in Key West. So many of you have already sent in either gift cards or purchased items.

Our Session in coordination with the Buildings and Grounds Committee has begun the renovation of the Master Bathroom at the Manse. Thank you to Doug Brown for his leadership on this project. The master is being expanded by three feet into the closet area.

This Sunday is the second Sunday of Advent and I will be preaching on Waiting. Do you enjoy waiting in line at the grocery store? Do you enjoy waiting in traffic on US1? Well, guess what? You are not alone, few of us like to wait around. The Scripture lesson comes from Mark 13:32-37 and the Sermon Title is “Worth The Wait.”

Please keep in your prayers, Barry Gibson, Beth Childress and another church member dealing with the challenge of cancer. May God be with them and give them great peace this day!

Blessings,

Pastor Daniel
