Dear Church Family and Friends,

Today is Good Friday, a day we remember when Christ was on the cross. This is incredibly significant because his death on the cross paid for all our sins, mistakes, failures and regrets! The cross sets us free to serve our Lord knowing that we have been redeemed by the powerful and unblemished lamb of God! Thank you God for sending Jesus to the world to bring us abundant and eternal life.

Our lifestyles have changed dramatically as you well know. I was amazed to see every single customer in Publix yesterday with a mask on including us. People are working together around the globe to stop the spread of this infectious disease.

If you are a church member or a regular attendee and you are in need of financial assistance, please let me know. I will keep this in confidence and you can text me or call me at (310) 745-7751. We have had 4-5 people share their resources to help those in our church family and I appreciate their generosity. This is not a time to be ashamed or embarrassed, it is a time to work together as the body of Christ helping one another in a great time of need.

This Sunday, believe it or not is the greatest Sunday in the life of the church, Easter! I love Easter Sunday more than any other Sunday because it is the day when Jesus wins victory over death. I will be preaching from John 14 where Jesus tells his disciples that he is going to go and prepare a place for them, a mansion in glory. He reminds them of his amazing peace. My sermon title is: There’s No Place Like Home!

I will also be speaking to the children for a couple of minutes regarding their sacrifices for Lent. Parents, I will also be texting you on Sunday to give you a 30 minute time frame where I will be placing your child’s item given at Lent in the church mailbox. I will place it on a paper towel and you can take the towel and the item from the mailbox. I will wipe down the handle each time. We are so blessed with having an amazing group of children at Peace Covenant!

I would much rather be seeing all of you in worship but I also want us all to remain healthy and kick this virus!

Have a blessed and safe day,

Pastor Daniel
