Good morning Church Family and Friends,

“But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

We are waiting and waiting and waiting on this virus to enable us to return to a normal way of life. But here’s hoping we return to a new extraordinary way of life. A life that is far more appreciative of the simple things. A way of life that values teachers, nurses, doctors, grocery clerks, delivery drivers over athletes making millions of dollars. A way of life that reminds us that God will strengthen us if we will wait and listen to his voice.

Please keep in your prayers this week Gerald Walters who is now resting at home with extra care as well as Barry Gibson and Beth Childress as they continue their journey in the quest to beat cancer. May God bless Gerald, Barry and Beth and give them great peace this day.

This Sunday is Communion Sunday and I will be leading communion once again and I invite you to join me with wine/grape juice/bread/crackers as we remember the great sacrifice Jesus made for us. I really enjoyed seeing the pictures of many of you with your own communion setup at home. It brought tears to my eyes!

I will be preaching the third segment in the series, The Attributes of God. This Sunday we will take a close look at the attribute of Immutability. This word means that God cannot change in certain ways. We will explore this on a much deeper level and discover what it means for us today. John Penkoske will be playing a beautiful prelude this week.

Last week I participated in a conference call with the Tropical Florida Presbytery and the consensus is that we are not prepared as a presbytery to reopen our churches until we feel it is safe to do so. Our presbytery meeting will be held virtually in May.

Please let me know if we can help you with a financial gift. Please don’t hesitate to text me or call me at 310-745-7751. We are here for you!

May God bless you and fill you with a boatload of patience this week.
