Good Friday morning everyone,

It is a stellar day here in Key West as the temperature will be a moderate 79 degrees!

This Sunday for Sunday School, we are back in the book of Genesis 22 as we look at God testing Abraham’s faith in asking him to sacrifice his only son. We will see and contrast this sacrifice with God sending Jesus to the cross for us. Come join us at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

In worship, we will head to Daniel 2 and see that King Nebuchadnezzar has an amazing dream. There’s only one problem. He can’t remember the dream and he doesn’t know its meaning and he desperately wants to know what it all means. Unfortunately, he’s going to find out that some things are better left unsaid! Our second hymn will be, We Shall Overcome, a hymn to honor and remember the great work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This Monday will be Maintenance Monday at 9 a.m. at the church. All volunteers are welcome to come and help keep our property in beautiful condition.

Monday is also Martin Luther King Day and I will be at the Marriott Beachside for the annual Interfaith Ministers Association Breakfast. It begins at 8 a.m. and if you would like to attend, I still have 4 tickets left at $35 each.

February 2 is Super Bowl Sunday and we will have a tailgate party after church with hamburgers and hotdogs supplied. Please bring small side dishes and/or finger food desserts. And remember to bring a dry goods donation to help feed those in need. Also, plan on wearing your favorite team jersey!
