Good morning Peace Covenant Family,

I hope you are well on this first official day of summer! I have some very important news to share with you today. Over the last few weeks, our church has been in discussions with the Key West Preschool Co-op. The previous Memorandum of Understanding was about to expire. With that in mind we entered into negotiations to assist their mission to the community as well as finding creative ways to move our church forward.

Doug Brown, Chair of Property and Grounds, Randy McDonald, Bill Miller and I served as an envoy to the school and I want to especially thank them for their willingness and ingenuity to find ways to make both parties happy. All parties have now signed the new MOU and the Session has approved the final recommendation from the Property and Grounds Subcommittee.

Starting August 1, 2019 the school will exit the Fellowship Hall completely and begin to utilize the Beckerinck Room, the Nursery and continue to use the other classrooms. The school office will exit the Fellowship Hall and move to the Music Room next to the Beckerinck Room. The Property and Grounds Committee will put new doors with windows in both the Nursery and the Beckerinck Room. We have also moved a piano into the Fellowship Hall.

We have lowered the monthly suggested donation by $400 which will go a long way in keeping this community mission here in Key West. This amount will be offset by lower A/C and cleaning costs.

Since we now have a conference table in my office, we no longer have a need to meet in the Beckerinck Room. The full use of the Fellowship Hall will enable us to renovate the space and host other events into the future that may benefit Peace Covenant to the glory of God!

I want to thank all of you who have sent in money in memory of or in honor of someone to purchase the Glory of God hymnbooks. The cost for each hymnbook is $20 and we have received over 50 orders! Thank you! I am attaching the order form one more time in case you want to send one in.
