Good morning everyone,

We have an exciting Sunday coming your way. The Key West Co-op School that utilizes our facilities on a daily basis will be coming to worship with several parents and kids to communicate what they do for the community of Key West. The children will also sing a few songs including This Little Light of Mine and If Your Happy and You Know It. We are pleased to continue bridging the connection between the school and our church.

Our Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall as we finish chapter 3 and move to chapter 4 of Genesis with Cain and Abel. In worship, I will be preaching on A Model of Greatness and the steps it takes to be great according to Jesus.

In September, our Session agreed to a new partnership with Venture Out. Venture Out is an RV Community in Cudjoe Key with services on Sundays beginning in November through Easter. They will have up to 40 in their choir and 250 in worship at various times. I normally preach on the first Sunday at 9 a.m. and lead communion with them. The new partnership will take me up twice a month while portions of their choir (10-20) will be coming down to our church twice a month. Dawne Laraway is the Choir Director and we are pleased to work hand in hand with Venture Out to strengthen both of our ministries! They will be starting in our worship on November 24 and will continue through the end of March.

While this will take me away from Sunday School a few times, Reverend Amy Howe will be filling in beginning in January. Amy and husband Dave have been attending our church during the times they are here and I believe Amy will bring wonderful vitality and insight to our Sunday School. Reverend Amy serves on the Committee on Ministry for the Presbytery of the Mid-South.

Our new hymnal dedication will be on October 27. Our next Confirmation Class will take place in the month of March.
