Good morning everyone,
This Sunday we will be having our new Hymnal, Glory to God, dedicated and we will sing songs from it. The hymnals have been completely paid for by members and friends. Thank you! Reverend Danny Morales from Tropical Florida Presbytery will be taking 75 of our old hymnals to use in his congregation.
The sermon this Sunday is called The Extravagant Woman from Bethany Hills. Jesus and his disciples are eating dinner when a woman shows up and begins to bless Jesus with expensive ointment on his head. We will learn why it is okay to be extravagant in our generosity, time, giving and love. Sunday School continues in the book of Genesis in the Fellowship Hall at 10 a.m. We also have a guest violinist with us this week.
Next Sunday, November 3 we kick off our Stewardship Season with a lunch for everyone! There is no cost and our Member Care Committee will be providing subs, chips and drinks. You are more than welcome to bring a side dish. It happens right after worship!
Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour next Sunday, November 3rd as well!
By the way, thank you for praying for both Barry Gibson and Beth Childress. Barry shared last Sunday that his cancer cells have been reduced by 50% while Beth shared with me that her tumor has shrunk. Please continue to keep them in your prayers every day.
Have a blessed and safe weekend,
