This Sunday: We invite everyone to join us for our worship service this Sunday, January 8, 2023, 11:00 am – Rev. Larry Schenk, preaching. All are welcome. Invite your friends!

Sunday School resumes this Sunday:

  • Children’s Sunday School begins about 11:15 a.m., immediately following the Children’s Moment in our Worship Service.
  • Adult Sunday School begins at 10:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall

Pastor office hours: Pastor Larry Schenk’s door in the Pastor’s Study will be open to anyone who wishes to visit during his office hours.

  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m – Noon 
  • Monday — Friday: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • No appointment is necessary
  • Pastor Schenk is reachable by phone at any time.

Taking down the greens: This Saturday, January 7, we will gather at 9:00 a.m., at the church to remove, box and store the Christmas decorations in the Sanctuary and take down the Nativity Scene on Flager Avenue. Please join us for a time of fellowship. Many hands make light work!

Pastor Nominating Committee: The PNC will present to the congregation a slate of candidates for the Pastor Nominating Committee. The PNC is responsible for finding a transitional pastor and/or a permanent pastor for Peace Covenant and for ensuring a smooth transition over the next several months. If God is calling you to help shape the future of Peace Covenant, this is an excellent way to do so. Please contact PNC chair Linda Grist Cunningham at 305-294-3066 or linda@cunningnet.com. A slate of PNC candidates will be presented to the congregation for approval on Jan. 22 or Jan. 29. 

Father Tom Sterner: A funeral mass will be held for Father Tom Sterner on Friday, January 6 (today) at 11:00a.m. at Williams Hall, 729 Fleming St. A wake was be held at the same location at 5:00p.m. on Thursday, January 5th.

  • The family and friends of Father Tom Sterner, as they mourn his passing
