Sunday Services:
- We invite everyone to join us for our worship service this Sunday, March 26, 2023, 11:00 am – the Reverend Terri Hill is preaching. Rev. Hill is an ordained United Methodist pastor and retired in 2021 from Key West United Methodist Church. All are welcome. Invite your friends!
- Children’s Sunday School: 11:15 a.m. following the children’s story in services.
- Adult Sunday School begins at 10:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. We invite everyone to join us for this time of fellowship and discussion. This is a wonderful time to meet new friends, to become better acquainted with current friends, and to grow in our understanding of what our Faith means in our lives today.
Next Sunday is Palm Sunday: Please join us in welcoming our new Transitional/Interim Pastor Joe Reggin to our congregation and our pulpit on April 2. This will be a special day in the life of Peace Covenant as we celebrate Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, communion, special music, Punch on the Patio and the arrival of a new pastor.
Sunday Service Videos: We think we’ve got the video thing figured out. (Thank you, Joe Carr!) We are including the link to the Rev. Steve Torrence’s March 19 sermon. You can also find it on our website and on our Facebook page. Up next ensuring better sound quality. We appreciate your patience and promise we will get it done soon. https://www.peacecovenantpckw.com/03-19-2023-the-preachers-dilemma-rev-steve-torrence/
Sunday Punch on the Patio: Looking for an easy way to offer your time and talents to Peace Covenant? Sign up for punch duty. See Carol Ann Hubbell after church Sunday to sign up and learn more. We have Punch on the Patio the first Sunday of each month. Preparing, serving and cleaning up are easy to do, make a lot of folks happy and there’s always someone willing to pitch in and help you. Never done it before? No problem. Member Care Committee members are happy to teach you.
Musical Notes From John Penkoske
Our new addition of what I refer to as “The Southernmost Pipe Organ” should be tuned and scaled in the next couple weeks and ready to lead us through Easter Sunday and this joyous season of the church year. Peace Covenant is very fortunate to have this wonderful instrument and I hope the Congregation will have as much joy listening as I will have playing it — John Penkoske, organist, bell choir director
Pastor Nominating Committee:
- The Rev. Joe Reggin has accepted the one-year-with-options-to-renew Covenant with Peace to become our Transitional Pastor. Joe, as he prefers being called, will conduct his first service and communion on Palm Sunday, April 2. He will live in the manse and set regular office hours, Although Joe will not be our permanent pastor, he will carry out all the customary roles of a pastor and will work with us as a congregation to discover our mission ministry and begin to move forward.
- Permanent Pastor: Your PNC now will turn its attention to the search for a permanent Called Pastor.
Office Hours: Please note changes
The church office is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
You can reach Maria, the church’s administrative assistant, during these times.
Beverly Morris will also be available at the church office on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
If you have an emergency outside office hours, please contact one of the Elders listed below.
What to do if you need pastoral care or assistance: For the next several weeks, we will not have a full-time pastor on call. However, we know that our members may need assistance in emergencies or crisis times. Your Session and Elders have ensured pastoral or church services will be available. Should you need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact any one of these Elders. All will welcome your call and will help you as needed.

Hand Bell Players Needed
The Lent and Easter Season are upon us and Our Bell Choir has started Practicing Music for Sunday Morning Services. We are in need of Several more Players. We meet Monday evenings from 5:00-5:45 in the Sanctuary. You do not need to Read Music in order to play as Music is color coded with Markings. Please consider being part of this Ministry to enhance our Worship Experience at Peace Covenant. Contact John Penkoske at 920-210-3239 or see him after Service on Sunday for more information.
One Great Hour of Sharing
During this Lenten season, Presbyterians nationwide contribute to the One Great Hour of Sharing. Contributions to the One Great Hour of Sharing support the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Presbyterian Hunger Program, and Self-Development of People. Each of these organizations work in different ways to serve individuals and communities in need. From initial disaster response to ongoing community development, their work fits together to provide people with safety, sustenance, and hope.
A few Sundays ago, the children of our congregation distributed “One Great Hour of Sharing Banks”, with fishes on them, so that we could collect our loose change. You may return these banks to the church any Sunday during Lent. You may also make a contribution with a check (payable to “Peace Covenant Presbyterian Church, with “OGHS” on the memo line), or in cash. Please put any cash contributions into one of the pew envelopes and mark “OGHS” on the outside, then drop the envelope into either the offering plate or the offering box in the Narthex as you leave the Sanctuary. We appreciate your generosity during this time!
Please Update Your Email Address
Please help us share information by updating your email address and other contact information. You can provide your email address and other contact information in either of the following ways:
- Email your contact information to this email:
contact@peacecovenenantkeywest. com - Call the church office at: 305-294-1223
Offering Envelopes: Please pick up a box of offering envelopes at the table in the back of the church, near the door. In the front of each box, you will find an envelope for our “per capita.” The per capita is the amount each PC(USA) church pays per person to support the work and mission of our denomination’s General Assembly and each presbytery. Peace Covenant will pay $36.90 for each member. Your donation to our per capita will allow Peace Covenant to pay our share without having to use funds we budget for our missions and other important work of our church. We greatly appreciate your support and generosity to Peace Covenant Presbyterian Church!
