Happy Memorial Day Weekend and welcome to summer
Sunday Services: 11 a.m. | Pastor Joe RegginMay 28 | Two stories of the beginning
Children’s Sunday School: 11:15 a.m. following the children’s story in services.
Adult Sunday School begins at 10:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
The adult Sunday school class is focusing on the history of the Christian Church. This study/discussion will run eight Sundays through June 25. We will cover topics from the beginning of the church in the first century and the development of theological ideas in the early church through the Reformation of Luther and Calvin, to the modern church. We will observe the traditional summer break and return in August with additional topics to be announced at that time. If you would like additional information, please contact Joe.
Here are the scripture texts that will be the focus for our May sermons:
28 May: John 20:19023 & Acts 2:1-13 Two Stories of the Beginning
Save the date Please add a “save the date” note to your calendars for Sunday, June 25. Following services on that Sunday, Daris Bultena, general presbyter of the Tropical Florida Presbytery, will lead us in a discussion/workshop on our church and its future. Your Pastor Nominating Committee is scheduling this workshop as part of its responsibilities to the future mission of our congregation. Please prayerfully consider making this workshop a priority in our busy summer. Our church, our future and our mission depend on us.
Looking ahead
June 4: Communion and Celebrate Grads and Dads. Punch and cake will be served in Fellowship Hall to honor our grads and the men of our church.
Personalize your summer sermon:
Is there a Bible verse or verses you would like to hear explained in a sermon? Is there a story from the Old or New Testaments you would like to be a sermon focus? Is there an issue of belief in the Presbyterian Church, or Christianity in general, about which you have always wondered: “Do I really believe, or agree, with that?” Let Joe know your question and he’ll develop a summer sermon to answer your questions.
Please pray for:
