Happy Friday everyone,
We have a big Sunday planned as we celebrate Super Families Punch! We will honor moms, dads, grads, brides and families all together. This will take place in our courtyard. Please join us in person or in spirit as we take a moment to thank God for the blessings given by our honorees.
Since we are in a celebratory mood, my sermon this Sunday is called Happy Hour! It is the first miracle of Jesus turning water into wine, something I have not yet been able to accomplish. Weddings back then were much bigger than they are here in the United States and we will see something amazing in the miracle, something you may have never seen before!
Our Sunday School lesson was full last week and we will continue on to Philippians 3:12-17 where Paul talks about striving toward the goal of perfection in Christ and to keep moving forward. It was wonderful to meet and spend time with our out of town members, Jake and Ellie Riley! What a blessing they have been to Peace Covenant.
We invite you to bring your One Great Hour of Sharing Fish by May 19 so we can count up the mission proceeds and send on to the PCUSA Fund to assist those experiencing disasters.
Also, don’t forget to bring cans of food for our food pantry in the narthex. Please remember, items like bread will have a shelf life that may pass before the person can receive it. We greatly appreciate your generosity to help those in need.
For your information, since we launched our vimeo sermons on March 17, there have been 249 unique views of the sermons as of this writing. What a blessing to have our members and visitors and others hear the Word of God all over the country!
In case you missed last Sunday’s sermon, here it is:
